What is a tuesl?
Can I create a tuesl?
A tuesl already exists for the question/phrase I was interested in. What should I do?
Can I make as many changes as I want?
I made a change to one tuesl. Can I edit others or do I have to wait for 5 other users to make changes before I can?
I just made a change but feel another change needs to be made. What should I do?
Why can I only replace the last link?
But I feel one of the other links is irrelevant. What should I do?
Why are there restrictions on the number of changes I can make?
What are "Related tuesls"?
Who decides these "Related tuesls"?
What if a related tuesl I suggest doesn't exist?
How are related tuesls arranged?
How do I add a link to my signature?

What is a tuesl?
Top User Edited Site Lists (or tuesl for short) are user-edited collections of the ten most relevant sites/links for a term. The term could be anything from questions like "Which agencies are doing the best relief work in Haiti?" to phrases such as "Best Manchester United fan sites". Users like you make tuesls and others help add the best links to them. Slowly through collaboration, a tuesl ends up being a rich resource of links on a particular topic!

Can I create a tuesl?
Yes! Anyone can create a tuesl provided it doesn't already exist for the question/phrase!

A tuesl already exists for the question/phrase I was interested in. What should I do?
You can help improve this tuesl by making changes to it or adding comments to a particular link.

Can I make as many changes as I want? No. You may only make one change at a time to a particular tuesl. This could either be:

  1. Moving a link up/down by one spot
  2. Replacing the last link with another one
  3. Reversing the most recent change made to a tuesl
After you have made a change, you must wait for 5 other users to make changes before you are eligible to make another change to the same tuesl.

I made a change to one tuesl. Can I edit others or do I have to wait for 5 other users to make changes before I can?
Yes you may edit any other tuesl provided you weren't one of the 5 most recent contributors.

I just made a change but feel another change needs to be made. What should I do?
You will have to wait for 5 other contributors to make changes before you are eligible again. However, in the mean time you may leave comments on individual links explaining why you feel they need to be changed/ repositioned. If your logic is sound, others will make the change!

Why can I only replace the last link?
A tuesl works on the assumption that links are arranged in descending order of importance. Therefore link 1 would be more relevant to the question/phrase then link 10. Hence, only the last link can be replaced as it has the lowest relevance.

But I feel one of the other links is irrelevant. What should I do?
If you feel it's not relevant, move it down one spot! If other contributors feel the same way, the will do so too and eventually the link will make it down to the lowest spot, thereby allowing a contributor to replace it!

Why are there restrictions on the number of changes I can make?
Tuesls are meant to be collaborative guides to the best links for a particular phrase/question. These checks are in place to prevent one user from rearranging all the links according to his liking.

What are "Related tuesls"?
Related tuesls are other tuesls that users feel are related to a particular one. E.g. the tuesl for "Lionel Messi" may be related to the tuesl for "The FIFA world player of the year".

Who decides these "Related tuesls"?
You do! If you feel a tuesl is related to another, simply click on "Add a related tuesl".

What if a related tuesl I suggest doesn't exist?
Don't worry! It will be added to the "Related tuesls" section as a suggestion. Any other user including you may make it later. Once they do, it will be moved from a suggestion to a relation.

How are related tuesls arranged?
Related tuesls are arranged according to user votes.

How do I add a link to my signature?
Just type http:// before the link.
